A little about Kara's sire and dam...
Her Sire, WS Romulus, earned a Silver Medallion of Quality at the NFHR Evaluation.
Her Dam:
Raintree’s Katya has received a “high red” in conformation – whatever that means. I have sent the owners an email as she is for sale as well, and I’d like to know what they are asking.
Her grand Sire on her Sire’s side, Ramstad, was imported from Norway in 1989 and is evidently something special. He was 3rd place stallion in the 3 year old class. The bummer part is all the information on him is in Norwegian. I have a little problem reading that :-).
Her grand Dam on her Sire’s side, Viola, was imported from Norway as well. So again, most of the information is in Norwegian. However, I did find out something kind of cool...she has been part of an organization that pairs at-risk youth with horses. She is featured in a book called “Horses With A Mission” in the piece “Viola, Wise Mother Mare”.
Rusten, her Dam’s Sire seems to be quite the man...
“...used his head for their decal because he epitomized the correct fjord model.
His progeny has placed in literally every discipline imaginable...Rusten was
a wonderful ambassador for the fjord breed...”
Lastly, her Dam’s Dam was imported as well and she is what they consider a “white dun”.
